List, I'm sure a lot of people know this and it may have already been posted to this list but I made a connection with it and thought I would mention it. The LDS Church just recently completed and made available the 1880 US census on CD with an index that includes family households that did not have children under the age of 10 years.This is the first and only such index with this information.The 1880 federal soundex did not include these families. I could not find my gggrandparents after the 1870 census.They were not listed in the 1880 soundex or any census index and I assumed they died sometime after 1870 and before 1880.In the case of my gggrandparents their children were grown and they were living in the household of their married son who had no children.They were not indexed because there were no children under 10 years.They ARE shown on the LDS index. My regional LDS Research Center has these CDS.There is about 35 in all.The CD lookup web site also will do lookups from these. Hope this helps someone.
