Cherokee descent and Webbs Interesting... I wouldn't be surprised.... I have Cherokee in my other lines and it is well known that the Scotch Irish intermarried with the Indian populations.... plus my line of Webbs eventually marries my Leatherwood line which is well known in NC and would have probably been part of those in NC... They were lucky as they didn't go on the Trail. Edward Leatherwood was white and his wife Elizabeth Walker was Cherokee and they lived off the Reservation and as such they were not "removed"... We have yet to find them listed on any roll or in any book... I would be interested to have a look up from these books... Thanks, Shari
