C. J. -- Elias did not name a son Levi, as far as we know. There IS a Levi/Levy Webb in the same area, which we believe is probably Elias's brother -- based on land and poll tax records and geographic proximity. We first pick up Elias in Jefferson Co., GA when he paid his first poll tax in 1806. You might be interested in my webpage in AOL hometown. There is a brief mention of Levi there. The foundation of this page is the 3- years of research conducted by a man I am proud to call cousin, Mr. Frank Parker Hudson, which he generously shared with me. To it, I have added bits and pieces as I have found them, hoping I will eventually find one that says "Eureka! HERE is the connection!" Jo Webb's book does mention a Levi that appears to be the same Levi and discusses his connection to her other WEBBs. This is one reason I think mine must be related somehow. Some of this data is abstracted from her book. What I NEED to do is split it and make a second page. I already have some material to add to it. http://hometown.aol.com/awnrdc/myhomepage/family.html If you have additional questions when you have looked at this, please feel free to post to the WEBB list, or email me directly.
