I do see what you mean about the subject lines, it makes sense. However I hope folks aren't too quick to just delete messages without reading them because they don't recognise the name in the subject line. I look at all messages, someone may have in the subject a name I don't know, but some other name in their line "may" ring a bell, we wouldn't be reading these at all if we had all the names, dates and places of all our ancestors. :) ----- Original Message ----- From: <MarniBugQuilts@aol.com> To: <WEBB-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, January 16, 2002 7:54 PM Subject: Re: [WEBB] Good subject lines for queries > Dear Webb List > > I have been online doing my own genealogical research for over a decade. A direction helps too e.g. Subline: Jerry Webb b.1870 Tenn>MD1890>KY1891 example Some time back I had some things going to excite the list, this list has always been responsive to these things and a lot of really good people are here . We all get side tracked, me so many things have been going on I get stuck all day on one list , I have 189 list folders on my OE , I know , I just counted them, close to 3000 members on 53 of my own lists , not counting message boards . Its hard for me to get to the W in my folders , sorry folks I should have been paying closer attention , some here know I will be now <G> On with what ever was going on, just be careful about donating your address on line in public.
