Hello Ann: When I saw you note my heart jumped because I am trying to find the birth place of a Martha WEBB, born in Essex, whose father's name was William. When I checked, my Martha was born in 1834 so she is older than your William. (Which would make him more than a little precocious to be her father!) On the IGI there is a William Douglas WEBB born 1n 1846 in <Ilford> Essex. I don't know if the <> means there is some uncertainty about the information or not. If my Martha is in the IGI I don't have the correct information to identify her. With a little digging we might have brother and sister!
