List.... Speaking out of turn, and probably on someone's toes.... There is no changes to be made on our parts. RootsWeb itself is upgrading servers, etc., and are moving ...slowly...all the Lists to this new entity. I'm on another list....that list was a guinea pig, to see how smoothly all went. There were no hitches that I've heard of. You are to respond to your ListAdmin if you realize you've not been getting any posts after seveal days...or that your own posts are not getting to the list. Just putting in my two cents, Lisa
Thanks Lisa Yes we are moving slowly, and there are some problems getting worked out, Hey on the Bright side , by the time they get to W every thing should be purrrrfect <G> Ya think ? Oh yes one other thing] I dont know how many of you are on the update list - but those who are not - if you take the list in both list and digest - you ( will )) need a second separate addy - I am going to use gmail and pop it back to this address/ Dan M www.wvi.com/~wb http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Genealogy_Chat ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lisa Polk" <lpolk@dpengineering.com> To: <WEBB-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, August 18, 2006 12:27 PM Subject: [WEBB] Webb Test > List.... > Speaking out of turn, and probably on someone's toes.... Not just real sure what this test is all about but am replying just to let you all know I got the first test and then lots of others.. I am getting them alright. Louise
Had a member who was not getting mail. So we ran a test. Also soon - all rootsweb lists ( will be ) migrated. All list addresses in that future *( will not)* have ( -L) or (-D) in the address, it ( will be simply WEBB@rootsweb.com ) For now they are migrating the lists that begin with A You ( will ) have to set all your list filters to the new address and there will be some new modes. I dont know all the answers yet because there is a 22 page PDF file I still have not read. But for the topic on the list update list you were all mailed about, it looks like there might not be any boring moments for a while with the newer lists and the change over.
