He owned land in what is now called Who who hollow rd; I know there is a webb family cemetary on this road but i cannot find it. Also he had a son named John , daughter name Bette or possibly Elizabeth whose married name was Martin; another daughter named Josie who married Thomason Dunn; This is all I am sure of; Any info greatly appreciated.
Sara I, too, am a Tennessee WEBB descendant. Would be glad to help you find some information on your family. Here is a WEBB family from the 1880 census that could be your family. On the same page in that census were other WEBB families, one which could be the grandparents of your Webb children. 1880 Census Place: District 7, Henderson, Tennessee Source: FHL Film 1255262 National Archives Film T9-1262 Page 353C Relation Sex Marr Race Age Birthplace W. I am looking for the parents of Isaac Webb, James Albert Webb, and Joseph Lee Webb. They were born in Tennessee and moved to Texas (Collin County area, Farmersville) after they became adults. Isaac was born in 1864, James Albert in 1870, Joseph Lee - I'm not sure. They had a sister who died in her 20s - I do not know her name. Their parents died young as well in Tennessee. Isaac's middle name is thought to be Edmund. He married Sarah E in Tennessee. Her last name is thought to be Hamilton, middle name is thought to be Elizabeth. Their oldest child, Mary Myrtle Webb was born in Tennessee in the late 1800s before they moved to Texas. One other child may have also been born there as well. Their children include (in no particular order) Mary Myrtle Webb, Addie Serena, Riley, Jimmy (James), and George. Isaac died in 1961 and is buried in the Bethlehem Cemetary in Farmersville area along with his wife. James Albert Webb was the first to arrive in Texas. Many times, he used the name Albert or just his initials, J.A. He moved to Powderly, Texas (Lamar County) from Farmersville in about 1905. I think he married his wife Lou Anne Aulds there as there were many Aulds as members of the Primitive Baptist church there. He was ordained as a Primitive Baptist Minister in about 1905 at the Providence Primitive Baptist church in the Arnold Community in Collin County. He was also a school teacher and is thought to have taught in the Blue Ridge and Leonard school districts in Texas. He did move back to Farmersville area and then moved to Dallas later in life. He and Lou Anne (Annie) had the following children: Mary Frances (b 08-02-1906), Louvada, Willie J, Albert Dalton, Thomas Luther and James Alton. James Albert lived to the age of 100 and died in 1970. He preached his last sermon at the age of 100 at a Primitive Baptist Association meeting. James Albert and his wife are both buried in the Bethlem Cemetary in Farmersville Joseph Lee Webb married Willie Ann Price. Joseph many times went by simply Lee Webb. They moved to the Grayson County area. I do not have a list of all their children but do know they had a daughter named Frances, a daughter named Nora, and a son named Granville. After Willie died, Joseph moved to live with one of his daughter's near Ardmore, OK. Joseph's daughter had to put him in a nursing home at one point. Joseph lived to be 93 and was the last of the three brothers to die. He is buried in the Grayson County area. Because of the wide span between each child's birth, I am having trouble finding them on census records together. I don't know who their parents were or where they lived in Tennessee. Nor do I have access to the 1880 census records for Tennessee. Can anyone PLEASE HELP me. Thank you, Sara Mattice

Thanks for the reminder Dan. I was tempted to open mail last week from a distant family name, tho I am not searching it at the moment. I decided to scan it with my AV first, and sure enough it had a worm virus. I suppose it would have been caught, but why take the chance? Better I was safe than sorry. We all need to be "aware" of what is coming in the mail with so many virus's out there. You have said it SO many times that we ALL need AV. It bewilders me that people would take the chance of ruining their computer, losing information, or infecting another unknowing person. Please do keep up the warnings. Some people need them. Hi WEBB people, I am looking for a Mark WEBB, Stoker 1st Class 304201 (Po.). He was stationed with HMS Cormorant at Gibraltar and died on an accident on TB (Torpedo-boat) 96 in the Straits of Gibraltar 1 November 1915. I have a bit of detail on the accident and would like to link up with other descendants of the men who died (including Mark). He is listed as a Portsmouth man and it is likely that his family/relatives may have lived in Portsmouth/Hampshire. Any info or contact gratefully received. Cheers Rob Harker (robert.harker@which.net)

List, I'm sure a lot of people know this and it may have already been posted to this list but I made a connection with it and thought I would mention it. The LDS Church just recently completed and made available the 1880 US census on CD with an index that includes family households that did not have children under the age of 10 years. This is the first and only such index with this information. The 1880 federal soundex did not include these families. I could not find my gggrandparents after the 1870 census. They were not listed in the 1880 soundex or any census index and I assumed they died sometime after 1870 and before 1880.In the case of my gggrandparents their children were grown and they were living in the household of their married son who had no children. They were not indexed because there were no children under 10 years. They ARE shown on the LDS index. My regional LDS Research Center has these CDS.There is about 35 in all.The CD lookup web site also will do lookups from these. Hope this helps someone.
