    3. I am looking for any help on the above named Webbs. George was the father of John. We believe that George was married to an Allen from NC. Frank was probably brother to george and Ruby was Frank's daughter. How's that for a tangled web? no pun intended. Any help is greatly appreciated. M.Allen

    3. Hi List! My Webbs are from Anderson County, Tennessee. I have found most of them in Longfield Cemetery, but there are many there I do not know. I would love to exchange information and work on identifying all these Webbs? The information is written like I found it on the gravestone. Age 80, of Lake Worth, FL passed away peacefully on August 30, 2001, at the Jay Robert Lauer Hospice Unit in the JFK Medical Center. “Junior” was the first born of the late Mary Frances (Ramey) and William Homer Webb, Sr., in Kayford, WV. Exemplifing the virtues of the “greatest generation” he enlisted in U.S.M.C. in February, 1942, serving in the First Marine Division during WW II and participating in the assault landing, capture and defense of Guadalcanal until wounded in October, 1942. Upon recovery, he returned to the service to his country in 1943 and participated in the occupation of Finschafen, New Guinea and in the offensive and defensive operations at Cape Gloucester and Talasea, New Britain Island. As a resident of the Lake Worth area and a member of Carpenters Local Union # 130 for over 50 years, he was involved in the construction, supervision, and inspection of numerous local construction projects before becoming the Building Official of the Village of Royal Palm Beach. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jackie Maurice (Lake Worth), Edwin Leon (Medina, Ohio), Bryson Lee (Homestead, FL), and James Melvin (Lorain, Ohio) Webb. Left to cherish his memory, “Bill’ is survived by a loving family including his devoted wife of 55 years, Rose; his children, Mary Rausch of Lake Clarke Shores, Michael Webb of Lake Worth, and Nancy Grunewald (Paul) of Orange Park, FL; grandchildren, Dr. William Rausch, Dr. Sandra Rausch (J.W. Kenton), Stacey, Chris, Jason, Michael, Sharon, and Nicole; and great-grandson, Brandon.
