    3. Dan et al., Rather than having lots of e-mails asking for a copy of the Eagle with Tear, click on this link: http://www.ksl.com/dump/news/cc/breaking/wtc_eagle.htm I could not quickly find a link to one with the fighting mad eagle. Perhaps someone else could just post the URL for it, as they can not send pictures through the list server. Best regards, John Sullivan

    3. You know.........the picture of the eagle with the tear makes me sad. The eagle was chosen as our National emblem officially in 1787. The eagle is strong. The eagle is fearless. The eagle represents freedom. The eagle full of boundless spirit of freedom. The eagle represents the symbol of supreme power and authority. He was chosen as our image of America's Motto "E Pluribus Unum" which means "Out of Many, One" Our country has certainly proven this in our unity. Benjamin Franklin suggested the motto "Rebellion to Tyrants is Obedience to God" The eagle is sad, but is not a cry baby. Visit the web site on eagles. 3. G;day dear listers, warm greetings from Down Under, i am new to the list so thought i would jump in and post my interest . My wifes g grandfather William Joseph WEBB was the first of her WEBB ancestors to come to Australia that we know of, he emigrated about 1850, married a Barbara Barclay in New South Wales 1853 , was widowed in 1866, then married Bridget Stoney in South Melbourne Victoria in 1867, died at Melbourne 1876 , his occupation was a ships carpenter , was christened at St Marys Scilly Isles Cornwall England 1827 and his parents were William WEBB and Elizabeth LEGG . The first WEBB that we know of was an Israel WEBB who was christened at Balefore , Devon , England in 1739 and went to the Scilly Isles in 1761. We also have been told that some of the WEBB family went to USA . If anyone has a similar interest it would be great to hear from you, Brian Johnson (Johno) bjohnson3@vtown.com.au

    3. Dont know about any one else but as I am on a lot of lists Genealogy is not really the popular subject even a week later As things keep unfolding I will allow the conversationabou it because so many people had loved ones there,so many have to document this . It is going to become a part of genealogy if we like it or not. Was there any one on this list with * anyone* in this disaster , we can talk about it and lend support as a list family . Dan
