Irene, The Higdon and Clements line run really close to this one in being confusing! ~ Winnie
Edna, when I posted Wilkes County, I meant North Carolina. However, when I got the info out of a very old file, I found I was mistake, and it was Burke County and Ashe County (all in mountains of NC). However, one of these people was listed as being from Orange County, Va. There was one Lucy Webb, no middle name, listed, but she was far too late, born 1836, to be yours. If there is anything more confusing than the Webb genealogy, I don't know what it could be. Irene
William, please see my last message, local library says I can't mail copies - sorry. Look at the listing I gave for Webb City, Missouri. Part of this family was the Elijah who founded Webb City. Their library there has a lot of info on our family, which they will send you. Also send me granny's name, and/or her antecdants, and I will look her up. Irene
Michel, I believe his fathers name was Isham Webb but i'm not for sure till i get to check my files, i'll check tonight and get back with you i'm at work right now. Wanda, We have some Childers in my Webb line. Do any of your ancestors come from Alabama? Betty Jo Webb
Wish I knew - I have gotten back as far as 1717 (in NC), and hit the proverbial stone wall. By the way, there is an Anthony Webb in the 1790 (first) census of NC. Cheers, Irene

Hi, I noticed the "Elizabeth" mentioned by several listers. This info is for me to use to prove the line. This information was handed down to me in most part by my Mother who died at 100 in 1994 and her sister that was born in 1886. They had written down their memories of family discussions and the Aunt had done research the hard way--- writing for information. If there are errors and you have proof let me know. If this fits anyone----- use the locations to find your family. I sincerely hope it helps and if anyone has any info on WILLIAM WEBB born in Ireland abt. 1750 who married URSULA CAROLINE COLEMAN let me hear. Claire Loyd

Some sank deep roots and others moved on, scattering our ancestors from coast to coast. Our purpose is to have fun, get acquainted, and swap genealogical information. The above is a list of the families which we know for sure had ties in early East Tennessee and the ones we have some information on. However, (Sorry all surnames are CLOSED Now) Contact Carl at <CousinsCom2@hotmail.com> or Terri at <CousinsCom1@hotmail.com>. All we ask is that you be willing to act as host or hostess/greeter for your surname and to share whatever info you have available. ALL surnames are welcome to attend whether your name is listed here or not! There will be a wealth of information to share. Plan on attending please! We Do Need A Head Count, To, NOT over book, However. (Numbers of persons coming) is needed. We would love to have volunteers for all the names on the list (except Brown and Coffman, which we have well-covered) to act as co-hosts/co-hostesses to greet and help people with their surname feel welcome and to help them meet researchers working on the same surname. To those of you with East TN roots who don't have much extended family and therefore don't have a reunion, this is your chance to bring your immediate family members and join ours. We want everyone to have fun, feel welcomed, and enjoy themselves. **That's What Tennessee Stands For: THE VOLUNTEER STATE ** "Where pride walks and the flag flies!"** We know that we have some college instructors attending who perhaps can be persuaded to speak. We also have experts and accredited genealogist who have been researching for 30 plus years. They are ready to share their information with us. ---------------------- Attendance is FREE . . . but we will have a "donation" jar to offset the cost for using the campground, tableware, entertainment, and clean up. Drinks, ice chest 5. A chair or blanket to sit on...If you are serving as a host or hostess, you will also need a small table (card table size or larger) to display your family information on. -------------------------- Last year was our first attempt to pull all these early settlers' descendants together. As far as we knew, it had never been attempted before. It was a resounding success for a first attempt, and it was agreed that it should become an annual event. This area is so very rich in history, both as an Indian frontier and as an isolated jewel of Union sympathy during the Civil War. It also served as a departure point for westward movement and new settlement. Our ancestors left us a rich heritage, which we are striving to preserve and pass on to our children and grandchildren. This rich tapestry of ideals and values is what made us a great nation and what made each of us what we are today. And it began with our earliest immigrant ancestors who came here to start a new life and a new country. COME and SHARE that heritage with us on July 13-14. We are looking forward to making many new friends!! Sincerely, Terri Brown Jurca: <CousinsCom1@hotmail.com>, 5509 Paula Rd., Knoxville, Tn 37912 Carl Coffman: <CousinsCom2@hotmail.com> 1448 S.
