    1. Re: Look-ups offered
    2. Wanted to tell you Webb researcher that if you do not want to buy Jo Smith Webbs' book Linkage, that since I have 'found" mine after hubby packing it up by mistake, I will be happy to offer my spare time to look in the index for names and dates for anyone. Don't know what the book costs but mine was a gift from Mrs. Webb when she was 89 yrs old. It is mostly on Ga Webbs but starts with early ancestors in VA. Mary

    3. This is the message I was replying to in my latest reply to you. Sorry for the confusion but this was from an earlier posting that you must not have received?????? I thought from what you ask that it was my posting you infquired about--not Mark-because I gave my Uncle's DNa kit number and explained how/when the number is issued. ----- Original Message ----- From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, April 27, 2005 11:55 PM Subject: Kit number? 2. I want to thank Alice for making it known this book was available. I have been looking for it for a couple of years, and happily placed my order a few minutes ago. I was sent a few pages of it, and they opened some questions for me. So I will be excited to see if the WHOLE book answers those questions for me. I have a cousin on my WEBB side who is something of a well known GA genealogist himself and he told me he worked with Jo Smith Webb when she was writing this book. He's a super researcher, and graciously shared his 30 years of WEBB research with me about our line. There are still a lot of "loose WEBBs" in early Georgia, but gradually, the WEBB DNA Project is building up a good sampling of the Georgia lines. Anne

    2. My father, whose grandmother was Australia Webb Owen, had a "lazy eye" which would be more pronounced when he was tired. His uncles, who were Australia"s sons, have very pronounced lazy eyes. So now I know where webbed toes and the lazy eye comes from. Another thing that was attributed to this part of my family was "weak Lungs". My grandfather and his brothers all died of lung disease. 3. Does the book reference the Irish lineage? I'm especially interested in any Webbs who may have arrived either with Cromwell (heaven help them!) or within a century either way. If they're in there, I'll check into purchasing a copy. (These are the Webbs who are - apparently - related to the infamous General Charles Coote, of Cromwellian era, as well as "China" Gordon of the Chinese wars. Thanks for any info.
