Not to my knowledge. I believe Ruffin was born in NC instead of MS as I stated in my original post and that his birth date could be 1817-1822. His daughter, Zoe, my g-greatgrandmother, was born in MS about 1865. Pat In your description of the second Augustine on your list I noticed a familiar though unusual name... the Millian who was the aunt and the grandmother. My own Webb line is full of Millian Webb's. My 3rd greatgrandfather was Martin Webb who came to Logan Co Ky in 1795 from Greenville SC. He was born in Va c 1740 and died here in what was Warren Co Ky (now Edmonson) in 1815. We believe he had a sister Millian. He had a daughter Millian.. who married Robert Hazelip. Several of his children and grandchildren continued to name daughters Millian through the early 1900's. I am descended through his son Merry Webb who was born 1765 in Va and died in 1842 in Edmonson Co Ky. Have you or any of your line submitted a DNA? Ours is # 23300 Regards, Winnie Webb Whitaker Ky
Is there anyone out there who has any idea how the two Augustine Webbs connect up. Mine was born in Hanover VA in 1755, served in the Rev. War twice, married 1. Elizabeth ? and had four children: William, Mary (Molly) Jonathan, and Sarah (Sally.) He lived in Fayette Co., KY, Clarke Co., KY, Shelby Co. KY, where he married for the second time to Frances Ann (Franky) Webb. He subsequently moved to Bullitt Co. KY, where he died. Franky and Augustine probably had at least 4 children: Elizabeth, Frances Ann, Jr., Benjamin, and George Washington. I suspect that Julius was this Augustine's father. Julius was born in Spottsylvania but lived with his family in Albemarle Co. VA, and Botetourt Co. VA. The other Augustine was born in 1763, to William C. Webb, son of William Warren Webb and Milliam? This Augustine was born and died in Orange Co. MD. married Lucy and had a passle of kids. His last child was, I believe, born about 1812 in VA, so apparently this Augustine and Lucy never left Orange Co. Augustine 1 & 2 were both first sons, and if they were named as was the custom back then, they should have been named after their father's father. Augustine 1 had a sister named Millian, while Augustine 2 had a grandmother named Millian. Several other names in the families are also the same. Both Julius and William Warren Webb were according to the information I have both born in Spottsylvania Co. VA. With so many simililarities, surely these Augustines are related (at least cousins), but I sure would like to know how. Anybody out there have any information? Thanks! Pat in Ohio

Hello, I have recieved the requests for look-ups which I will get done as soon as possible. Hope they will be of some help to the list members who wrote to me. I have to ask that for right now I regret I will have to pause my look-up offer for any future requests. But as I said I will most certainly do the ones I have gotten up to now so you all be looking for me to write to you. I have to have some time to do some research on my Maxwell line that married into the Webb line. I am thrilled to say the least to tell you all that I have made a major discovery and my Maxwells go back till the early 1500s!!!! I have a firm and direct connection so I must study it for the time being. Thanks to all of you! Mary Wyatt Birmingham, AL

I have tried to re-install the scanner software to no avail. Beverly, Could be related. I know that some went south to Texas and since William was a well-used name ( along with John, Jesse, Julius and Ernest) it doesn't surprise me at all. Your middle name Himes, was it ever spelled "Heims"? We had some of these in our family back in Warrick Co. IN. Keep in touch. Carol (nee Webb)
