    3. Sorry, my message wasn't clear. Your Leonard Webb isn't my Leonard Webb, s/o Henry and Lear (Webb) Webb, of Peachtree, Raleigh Co, WV. Both Henry and Lear died in 1865 after Henry returned from the Civil War. Leonard was made guardian of the three remaining minor children (including my ggrandfather). Leonard died soon after that and his brother Austin Webb assumed the guardianship. I have Leonard's lineage backwards but not his descendants. I've never come upon another Leonard Webb, and the other names in your line are family names used in the Boone/Raleigh Co, WV Webb families. Thanks. 1. Allison Webb, Miranda Webb, NY to MI
    2. Gary & Debby Sparbel
    3. Seeking information on the parents or siblings of Miranda Webb. She was born "near Peekskill, NY"--according to her obituary--on 14 Apr 1827. She married Hiram Leonard on 9 May 1846. They were probably married in Monroe Co., Michigan since Hiram had lived there since 1838. She lived the rest of her life in LaSalle Twp., Monroe Co., Michigan, where she had 8 Leonard children--Allison Hiram, William J., Phoebe, Celia, Janette, Sophia, Willis Charles, & Morris A.--who died young. She died in LaSalle Twp., Monroe Co., Michigan on 22 Apr 1912. Both of her parents had been born in New York state, according to census information. Unfortunately, the ghastly handwriting of the clerk who transcribed her death records into the ledger at Monroe County makes those records very unreadable--reducing me to educated guessing. I'm sure that her father was Allison Webb, based on the readable letters, the configuration of the name, and the fact that her oldest son was named Allison. I believe that her mother's first name was most likely Sally, since it appears to be written as Sully. Her mother's last name was much more difficult to read. I believe that it starts with the letter A--followed by some short letters, a tall letter, and some more short letters. It looks most like Amidon, Amidom, Amidian, Amiston, Amistom, Amistiam, Anidon, Arnston, Arnstom, Arnstian --but it could be any other similar combination. I would very much appreciate any help getting past this brick wall surrounding my great-great grandmother's family. Deb S.
