Anyway, thank you for writing. I wish I could prove that Richard Henry Webb was a son of Richard Daron Webb, but there is a list of Richard D's children in the "History of Piatt County", published in 1883, and Richard H. is not among them. I am quite certain that they are related, but I don't think that Richard H is a son od Richard D. I would be happy to discuss this with you further if you like. My number is 916-933-6576, or I will be happy to call you if you would give me your number. My lineage is: Thomas H. Chilton, Jr. (1934- ) Thomas Chilton (1906-1980) m Ruth Webb (1910-1985) Leonard Webb (1878-1950) Richard Henry Webb (1839-1894)

Is there any documentation on Thomas Here Webb being the father of John and Jesse Webb? Any ideas as to the parents of Thomas Here Webb? Thanks for you consideration and time to respond to my e-mail. 2. Diane, I need no thanks for anything. I am just searching and still trying to put together this puzzle of Webbs. I do although owe a big thanks to Mr. Lamb. He won't tell me too much and is letting me find out for myself. I say he is a wise man. Right now I have so many census images around me it is frightening. I do, although, believe that Elisha Webb b 1807 the twin brother of Elijah looks to be my gggrandfather. I hope I am right. I have searched for my family of Webb's for about 10 years and now I can finally see some light. Thanks to all, Mary

    3. Hi Mary, I am looking at your line closely and right now,I'm not seeing a Webb connection to my Webb's,but think you might want to look into a possible connection with the Webb/Boone line. I just sent info.about that in one of my last postings. Check out Bob Keyes website link if you haven't already!!! I want to thank you and Bob Lamb for all the great info.that you have made available online in regards to your research. Bob Keyes has also done a top notch job in regards to his research on the Webb/Boone line so if there is a chance that your Webb lines hook up,your lineage would be one of the most documented Webb lines that I have ever came across. Good Luck and keep us posted on any updates!!! 3. Chris, My Webb line doesn't come down off of William and Isabell Music Cunningham Webb, his 3rd wife from whom Loretta Lynn descends. Your connection to this William and his second wife,Mahala Franklin makes you closer related to Loretta then I. This William Webb was a son to William Webb(Sr.) who was b.abt.1780 d.1859. I descend down through Jonathan Webb b.1808,another son of William (Sr.) Looking over what I have on William Webb(Sr.) and his children,I don't see any mention to a James. Due to being up against a brickwall on our research for John Webb,William's (Sr.) father,I can't say one way or another if our John had any brothers or sons by that name. Now our DNA matches with ties to Buckingham Co.VA.may have mention to a James among their Webb lines,I'll have to check that, but don't think I've seen any mention to S.C.among their lineages. Due to Mary mentioning Elisha and Elijah Webb among her line,I am thinking that she might have a connection with John Webb and Mary Boone. These names have also been given as children born to their son James Webb b.abt.1736 and Mary Mathews. Researcher Bob Keyes is doing extensive research on this line. You can check his site for info on the Webb/Boone line at: http://www1.iwvisp.com/bobkeyes/ Hope this helps!!! 1. John Webb of VA.

    3. Webb list: I and other researchers of my Webb line are backed up against a brickwall with trying to discover more input on our John Webb of VA. Not sure of the year he was born, but taking a guess at it,I would say bet.1740-1760. We know that he had a son William Webb that settled in Floyd Co.KY. We have documented sources to support our lineage back to William Webb b.abt.1780 d.1859 Floyd Co.KY.and that his father's name was John. Would love to hear from folks that (don't have documented sources) on their John Webb's within their lineages. Past research had our Webb line has being descendents of the John Webb and Mary Boone line, but we now know, through DNA,that we are not blood related to that line. DNA has matched us with 4 others. 2 of those matches have their Webb lines coming out of Buckingham Co.VA.,1 with his Webb line coming out of Scott Co.VA.and the other with their Webb line coming out of the eastern part of KY.which appears to be a close connection to the Loretta Webb Lynn line. I'd appreciate all the help anyone can give us!!! Thank you in advance, Diane aka Diana Webb Evans

    3. Diana Webb Evans chiming in here. Mary,I'm not sure which James Webb is being discussed here. Does he have ties to the Eastern KY.Webb lines? I believe she has some information that will help me in my search on James, John and Lee Webb ancestors.
