    2. Rae Jean
    3. I'm a Peed descendant who has tried, without much success, to trace the line of Stephen Webb (mentioned by Anne). This Stephen Webb is believed to have married Mary Ann Peed c1782 in Edgecombe County or Nash County NC. No marriage record has been found. Nash County was formed from Edgecombe County in 1777. Stephen Webb was party to deeds dated from 1780 through 1796 in Nash County NC, then he and Mary Ann disappear from Nash County records. His estimated date of birth is 1759. Mary Ann Peed was the daughter of Henry Peed and Tabitha Stringer (my ancestors). Henry Peed's deeds were located in Edgecombe County from 1768 until 1778. Then the location was Nash County on deeds dated 1778 through 1787 so he was in the part of Edgecombe that became Nash. In about 1789 Henry Peed moved his family to Beaufort County NC where he died.
