    3. Here is an excerpt from the Ancestry daily email. I tried NAIL and searched the Landing Reports of Aliens. It is wonderful...if only I could find some of my ancestors! The scanned images are slow loading because they are BIG, but they are worth the wait. New documents include: ~ United States District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Landing Reports of Aliens, 1798-1828 "3 multi-page volumes have been digitized from this series. The digitized documents relate to Section 2 of an Act passed on April 14, 1802, which required all persons who were aliens and desired naturalization to report to the Clerk of the Court. They were to provide the Clerk with certain information and were then given a certificate of this registration. Information requested was: name of alien, race, place of birth, age, nationality, occupation, date and place of arrival in the United States, and the reason for entering the United States. . . To retrieve the 3 multi-page documents, select the 'NAIL Digital Copies Search Form' and enter 'Landing Reports of Aliens" in the first Keywords box. ~ Naturalization Petition and Record Books, 1943-1978 "327 documents from this series have been digitized. The digitized documents relate to naturalization records created by the United States District Court, Sixth Division of Minnesota (Fergus Falls). Among the digitized items are declarations of intention, petitions for naturalization, certificates of loyalty, and certificates of arrival. Information about a petitioner includes his/her name, residence, nationality, date and place of birth, date of admission into the U.S. for permanent residence, marital status, and number of children." ~ Selected Naturalization Petitions, Declarations, and Oaths, 1798-1861 "14 multi-page documents from this series created by the United States District Court, Southern District of Georgia, Savannah Division, have been digitized. Naturalization records document an individual's intention and petition to the United States requesting citizenship. The three phase naturalization process is then completed by the oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States. Additional information such as applicant's age, occupation, and arrival information is often found in these records. . . To retrieve the 14 multi-page documents select the 'NAIL Digital Copies Search Form' and enter 'Naturalization petition' in the first Keywords box, and 'Savannah' in the second Keywords box." ~ Indian Scout Muster Rolls "One multi-page document has been digitized. This alphabetically arranged index lists the name, enlistment number, month and year of registration for Arizona Indian scouts. This information may be used in conjunction with National Archives Microfilm Publication M233, Register of Enlistments in the US Army, 1798-1914, rolls 70 and 71 to locate the enlistment register entry for each man. The index was compiled to verify scouts' service for eligibility of pensions made available by Congress starting in 1928.". . .
