You must contact the NARA (National Archives) and obtain the appropriate forms for requesting military and pension records. They send the forms for FREE. If they find the records you are requesting, they will send you a notice and request you send them usually $10. If you want more than the average 20 pages they send, you put that request on the initial form you send and then they will respond with a higher price if they find the file and it is larger than about 20 pages.
