I recently found an article in the publication "Pennsylvania Mennonite Heritage", April 1989 edition, by Jerold A. Stahly, entitled "The Family of Jacob Oberholtzer (1704-1755) of Brecknock Township, Lancaster Co., PA". I have posted this under OBERHOLTZER on the GEN FORUM, but since I know a lot of WEAVER researchers are also looking for OBERHOLTZER information, I wanted to post it here too. This article says that Jacob Oberholtzer was born ca. 1704 in Dirnheim, Germany. He died 1755 in Lancaster Co. PA. JACOB'S first wife ______?, died in Germany before Jacob travelled to Pennsylvania in 1732. With him were his first two children: Elisabeth, b. August 27, 1724; m. BAUMAN Samuel, b. ca. 1729; m. HAUSWIRTH. JACOB married his second wife, Barbara ca. 1736 in PA. Their children: Johannes, b. Abt. 1739; m. BRAND Christian, b. August 10, 1740; m. MUSSELMAN Anna, b. Abt. 1743; m. GOOD Barbara, b. January 14, 1745/46; m. HEUCHER Maria, b. June 25, 1750; m. MARTIN Jacob, b. Abt. 1751; m. LEHMAN Magdalena, b. Abt. 1753; m. Jacob WEAVER, b. June 8, 1748, d. Nov. 1820 Veronica, b. Abt. 1755; m. GUTH The article included other information and also each of the above couples' children. I will be happy to share the information with others as requested. I am interested in finding out more about Jacob, b. 1704, as well as his daughter Magdalena Oberholtzer WEAVER who is my gggggg grandmother. I hope this is helpful to others researching this family.
