Greetings, Weavers! I am so envious of you Mohawk Valley descendants; just think of reaching cousins. I would like to find a cousin who could give me some information on John Weaver who was living in Jefferson Township of Scioto County, Ohio, in 1820. I think he was the father of Lydia Weaver who married my gr-gr-gr-grandfather, William Nice/Niece in that county in 1812 after he served a term in the War of 1812. In the Marriages of Scioto County a John Weaver is listed as the father of several brides who were under age. Since Lydia was of age, she didn't have to have consent, and no one was listed with the couple. Later censuses say that Lydia was born in Virginia. Any takers? Shirley in Missouri
