    1. [WEAVER-L] Conrad Weber/Weaver from Bavaria
    2. Looking for village in Bavaria: My gg grandfather, Conrad Weber and his spouse Sabina Albert emigrated from someplace in Bavaria to Cranberry township, Butler Co., PA about 1836-38. Travelling with them were three children, Martin b. 1827, John b. 1829 and Margaret ( Kym) b. 1835. Three more children were born in America, Conrad Jr. 1838, Franciska ( Aul) 1841 and Leonard 1846. The family was using the name WEAVER on census as early as 1840 and consistently after that; however, most but not all Catholic church records give their name as WEBER. Conrad Senior died in 1848. Sabina and her family moved to Wexford, Allegheny Co., PA. By 1860, Martin was in Spencer Co., IN, John was in Canton OH, the rest stayed in Pittsburgh. Sabina died in 1880. We feel she remarried sometime in the 1850s; however, she was living in Pittsburgh in 1878 using the name Weaver.. I have extensive information on this family except we want to know the name of the village they came from in Bavaria. Please contact me EMail: MBPKelly@aol.com Amelia Kelly
