    2. I'm new to the list and was really glad to finally find out about the Phipps list. My "line" is somewhat limited. I have been trying to get started by gathering as much information as I could for 2 years now. I am on several lists and found a 3rd? cousin in my mother's paternal side, the Tyler side. I'm not having much success so I am thinking about taking a genealogy class at our local college after the first of the new year. Here is what I have for my Phipps line, my maternal great-grandmother: William Franklin Arnold m. Jeanette Phipps Their children: Mertie Jeanette b. 2/17/1901 d. 12/23/1960 in Sulphur, Murray Co., OK She married Charles Alexander Tyler b. 4/27/1897 Heavener, OK and he died 8/15/1967 in Sulphur, Murray Co., OK. Benjamin Walter Robert Mary Etta (she married Charles' brother - Fred Tyler) Mamie The children of Charles & Mertie are: Lorene, Charles Omar, Ruby, Helen, Laura (Lou/LouCeil)Weaver (my mother), Darlene, and Jack. Laura (my mom) married Burris(Buck) D. Weaver 5/25/1947. Most of the people listed were born in Texas and Oklahoma. I understand that some of the family came from Missouri and Arkansas also. As I said earlier, I don't have much information and I am rather "green". I have Charles and Mertie's children, grandchildren, and some great- grandchildren and maybe some gg-grand children. If something is familiar to anyone, I would appreciate it if you would contact me. Thank you to Stephanie for all the info you have posted. I have saved it to disk and would like to know more. But, I guess - all in good time. Linda K. Weaver Long. The lines I have been trying to find information on are: Long, Weaver, Johnson, Tyler, Arnold, Phipps, Wells, Carter, Cain/etal., and any others that may "pop" up.
