    3. My Andrew Weaver went to Calif in 1850. Andrew married to Jane McDaniels in Contra Costa county. He was born (1835) in Clermont County Ohio. I Believe that his father was David, and may have been a doctor. David was killed by indians on the way to Calif in the Humboldt Sink, an area in Neveda. They lived for a while in Illinois before moving on to Calif. He had a brother named Elijah who was a half-brother. I believe that Grandpa Weavers mother's name was Susan. Andrew lived in Woodland Calif and died in Grass Valley Calif (1909). Buried in the familly plot in Woodland cemtery. Can Anyone help me? My Grandfather (Jesse) told me to always remember if I didn't remember anything else : The Weavers have been Masons since there have been Masons. I have been limited on the availibilty of records in Clermont County. Even though I have been able to identify some Weavers were in this county. I haven't been able to prove anything. Louise Stacy

    3. Sorry, Kathryn. I don't have those names in my file. Keep after them, though. I was stuck for YEARS trying to get past my Daniel WEBER/WEAVER, b. about 1790, who married Elizabeth KIPLINGER. Then just two weeks ago, I found a researcher who had Daniel's line back 2 generations, to the immigrant--Michael WEBER/WEAVER. In those 2 weeks, I've found other researchers, found his date of naturalization, Revolutionary War records, church membership, and have learned about the existance of his will and a book written about him and his descendants! Talk about excited! I think it's the hard ones that are the most exciting when we do find them. Good hunting. 1. [WEAVER-L] SCAM
    2. Harold Williams
    3. TELEPHONE SCAM NOTICE "I received a telephone call from an individual identifying himself as an AT&T Service Technician that was running a test on our telephone lines. He stated that to complete the test we should touch nine (9), zero (0), pound sign (#) and hang up. Luckily, we were suspicious and refused. Upon contacting the telephone company we were informed that by pushing 90# you end up giving the individual that called you access to your telephone line and allows them to place a long distance telephone call, with the charge appearing on your telephone bill. We were further informed that this scam has been originating from many of the local jails/prisons. I have verified with UCB Telecomm that this actually happens. I called GTE Security this morning and verified that this is definitely possible and DO NOT press 90# for ANYONE. It will give them access to your phone line to make long distances calls ANYWHERE!!!! The GTE Security department told me to go ahead and share this information with EVERYONE I KNOW!!!"
