    3. Would really like to find cousins of this Weaver family. Flora Mason b.abt.1881 married a man identified a Weaver on the back of old photo's. There are photo's of a man named Ardie Weaver...which I believe may be the husband of Flora. However, Ardie could be a nickname also. There were three known children: Walter Weaver, Essie Weaver and Mabel Weaver. Essie married Herman Jenkins Mabel married a man named ?? Wise. Last known location of this family was WV but they could have gone to OHio as many other family members did. Anyone know of them??? 1. [WEAVER-L] Cherokee
    2. Jim T Musgrave
    3. I found 3 Weaver listed in the surname index of a rare old Cherokee genealogy book at http://members.aol.com/rarebk At the site, they have the surname index of this rare old Cherokee genealogy book called "Old Cherokee Families and Their Genealogy," with lots of English names, they have posted the 1835 Cherokee census, and a Cherokee genealogy tutorial that shows you how to conduct effective Cherokee genealogy research. Also, they have posted the full index of a book that shows people who sued in the 1800's for Cherokee citizenship. Once at the site, go to BOOKLISTS, then scroll down till you see the books. For the tutorial, it will be about halfway down the page, and then you can invoke it. The 1835 Cherokee census is posted within the tutorial. 1. [WEAVER-L] Variant spellings and related surname...WOOLWEAVER
    2. Sharilyn Whitaker
    3. Greetings to the Weaver list from a new member, I have been researching the surname WOOLWEAVER, dating from the early to mid-1700's in Dutchess County, New York, and prior to that in New Amsterdam, appearing there as Wollewever, Follewever, Fulwever, Weber, Webber et al conceivable variations of this name. A little later this name appears as Vollewyser and Volleweiser, and also as Wever and De Wever. Appearing in the same family with my dreaded WOOLWEAVERS, are Mary WEAVER born about 1770 in the Colony of New York, most likely in Dutchess County, who married Frederick Stover (Frederick's MOTHER was Mary Woolweaver). Then I have the SON of Frederick and Mary WEAVER Stover, Albert Carey Stover marrying Elizabeth "Betsey" Weber, who was born around 1814 and died in 1886 in Ontario Canada. Has anyone on this WEAVER list ever run into anything remotely resembling WOOLWEAVER, or can anyone tell me anything about either Mary WEAVER Stover, Or Elizabeth "Betsey" WEBER Stover? Many thanks from the Woolweaver trenches! Regards, Sharilyn Whitaker
