1. [WEAVER-L] Weaver
    2. Hello, >From what Myrtle Lynn Weaver Felts wrote in her book "Our Weaver Family" she says that James Peter is the father of Daniel Weaver b. 1724. The Will of Samuel Weaver dated 1769 in Cumberland Co., Va is said to be the brother of James Peter Weaver. The other brothers of these 2 are Isaac Weaver, & Joseph Weaver. Isaac Weaver is said to have had a Biography done on him. He apparently served in the French and Indian War. He also is said to have fought in the Rev. with Gen. George Washington. James Peter Weaver is said to have had 6 sons. The names of 3 of the sons are Peter Weaver, David "Davey" Weaver, & Daniel Weaver. Does this connect with anyone? Thankyou Michael R. Foisset

You must contact the NARA (National Archives) and obtain the appropriate forms for requesting military and pension records. They send the forms for FREE. If they find the records you are requesting, they will send you a notice and request you send them usually $10. If you want more than the average 20 pages they send, you put that request on the initial form you send and then they will respond with a higher price if they find the file and it is larger than about 20 pages. You can email your request for the appropriate forms to be mailed to you by sending an email to: inquire@nara.gov You can look through their website by going to: http://www.nara.gov The hyperlink that takes you directly to the info you're looking for is: Obtain Copies of National Archives Records Hope this is of help to you.....and good luck! 1. [WEAVER-L] Enoch WEAVER - Help!!!
    2. I have posted several times, but there seems to be more activity here so I will try again. Enoch WEAVER b. abt. 1850 m. Nancy GREGORY (may be 2nd wife) children: LULU b. 1891 James and Joseph b. 1892 Arvil b. 1889 in IL Betty Rindy Charles Dallas Willis Most of the children are believed to be born in IL. This family is my block wall. They travelled around IL. and it appears that they moved after each child was born. I believe that Enoch was married prior to Nancy and Lula (Loulie) may be a child from his first marriage. Nancy may have been Cherokee indian, but that is not confirmed. I think that Enoch was born in PA., no proof yet. He died in Mississippi County, MO. in 1930 (no death record found). Any ideas would be wonderful.

If you obtain his military records and "ALL" his pension records, some of your questions will probably be answered...and maybe more! I've found some nice surprises...especially in the pension records, but you must request "all" of the pension records or they'll only send you about 20 pages. In the case of my one gggrandfather, his pension file was 45 pages so they charged me $20 instead of $10 for the standard 20 pages. Trust me, it was well worth it! Good luck! Laura

Bass, Jr. The chapters are set up by counties and begin with the first family of Weavers that came into that county/counties and gave information as to where that particular Weaver was born, i.e., "Chapter 9, The Descendants of John Weaver and Elizabeth Cook: Wilkes, Butts & Muscogee Counties". It begins with "Generation No. 1 - 1. John Weaver was born about 1650 in VA. He married Elizabeth Cook in Surry, VA, the daughter of William Cook, Jr. and Joane Roper, etc." It gives their children and then follows the generations. I give this particular reference as this is my Weaver/Jarrett/Washington line. The book can be ordered from: James K. Bass, Jr. P. O. Box 723552 Atlanta, GA 31139 Happy Hunting! 1. [WEAVER-L] Michael Weaver
    2. Jeff and Marcy Yates
    3. Hi, I'm looking for my husband's ggg grandfather, Michael Weaver. He was born in 1830 in Pennsylvania, and married Mary Jane Fox (no date). Mary Jane was born in 1837 in Michigan. We know from a will and probate of Michael's that he arrived in Marengo Twp., (Calhoun Co.) Michigan in 1854. We think Michael served in the Civil War, because there is a GAR marker on his grave, but we can find no evidence of him anywhere (so far) in our Civil War searchings. His death record does not list any parents names. Just that he was born in PA. Michael died 11/19/1870. Michael Weaver and Mary Jane Fox had 5 children: Charles Erwin b 1/6/1857 (my husband's gg grandfather), William b 1859, Mary E. b 1860, Ida b 1865, and Emma b Dec. 1869. Charles Erwin Weaver m Mary Elizabeth Martin 10/1/1879. They had 3 children: Grace Ina b 4/11/1881 (my husband's g grandmother), Clyde A. b 10/19/1886, and Gladys b 6/3/1891. Grace Ina Weaver m Charlie Sidney Holt 12/25/1901. They had 5 children: Bertha Elinor b 12/3/1902 (my husband's grandmother), Bernice Lorraine b 10/10/1904, Charlotte June b 9/6/1906, Clyde LaVern b 11/20/1908, and Erwin Wheeler b 6/13/1913. Bertha Elinor Holt m Clifford C. Hunt in Nov., 1925. They had 2 children: Helen Adell b 4/19/1926 (my husband's mother), and Floyd Elmer b 9/4/1928. Helen Adell Hunt m Earl William Yates 6/19/1942. They had 3 children: David Earl b 5/19/1943, Jeffery Lynn b 12/1/1944 (my husband), and Linda Earlene b 7/17/1946. This is probably too much information to put on the list, but we are getting frustrated trying to find Michael Weaver. Does anyone have any information on him? His parents names, where in PA he was born, any siblings? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Marcy Yates
