Jehu STUART (1740-1827, NC), wife Sarah STANLEY, Quakers, are said to have had a daughter, Elizabeth, who married James MARTIN in 1784, Guilford Co, NC. Elizabeth was 'dismous' for marrying James. Robert Stuart (son of Jehu and bro. to Elizabeth) married Martha BEESON, 1793, NC. Martha was a sister to William Beeson who married Mary Martin (brother of James.) Wm. & Mary Beeson are said to have gone to Wayne Co in 1809. I cannot find them in Wayne Co on the 1810 census but there is a James MARTIN listed. Also, several members of the STUART family apparently went to Wayne Co. Is there anyone who is researching these families? I'm particularly interested in James & Elizabeth Martin.
