Hi, Thank you Sharon, Steve, I'm sorry the subject offended you... But, Churches also keep records that can effect genealogy. These records other then the bare info never become public knowledge... My story: John G. Gilpin marries Mary Ann Graves... I have all information on the Gilpin downwards to present.. I have info on the Graves for 2 generations above Mary Ann Graves... No information on John G. Gilpin. Reciently, I was told they were married by a catholic missionary.. 1850.. The state recorded marriage gives no information on either, other then they were married... Trying to find information on the Gilpin I needed contact points with in the Catholic Church..... Steve I do not think she was stuffing anything down anyones throat just giving me areas to look. Thank you Nelda Pax et bonum! Nelda L. Percival nee Gilpin http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~bonsteinandgilpin/ http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~gillock/ http://doodleartgraphics.com
