Hello, Does anyone happen to have a photo of, or information about, the old Valley Grove Cemetery church in Milton? According to some of the Revilees, many of the Revalees/Revilees from Butler County, Ohio are buried there. They moved to Indiana from Ohio. The church is no longer there. I haven't found a list of those buried there. Thanks in advance, Sarah Reveley in Texas Katrina Genealogists - over 120 strong! Hello Sarah, My wife has family buried out there also - Vail. She drives near there everyday on her way to work. She stopped by there today and took some pictures. I am working on adding them to our ingenweb site. Go to http://www.rootsweb.com/~inwayne/ . Click on cemeteries and then Valley Grove, which is in Washington Twp. We have several pics of Revelees also. It might take me a little bit of time to get them all uploaded online. Good luck in your research, Tim and Sabrina ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sarah" <sarahreveley@grandecom.net> To: <WAYNE_IN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, October 05, 2005 9:21 PM Subject: [Wayne Co Ind] Valley Grove Cemetery church in Milton > Hello, > > Does anyone happen to have a photo of, or information about, the old > Valley Grove Cemetery church in Milton? I have been there - an amazing story, IMHO. Years ago, as we knew my husband's grandfather was from Connersville, we took a 60 mile trip there. I would have gone a different way to get there but my husband was driving and as we got to the southernmost area of Wayne County, we saw Valley Grove Cemetery, which is on both sides of the Indiana 1. We got out and I mentioned that I had heard and had good experience with calling out the name of the person you were trying to find when you think they could be in a cemetery. My husband Phil blew it off as hogwash. I told the kids if they could find a Guthrie or Taylor, I would buy them ice cream. We walked around and almost simultaneously, Phil said, "There's a Guthrie!" and I said, "There's a Taylor!" (not even necessitating the purchase of ice cream!). I wrote down the names and when I got back home, I found out that we had found Phil's great-grandmother, her sister, one of her sons and her parents! Have you tried the Morrison-Reeves Library in Richmond or the library in Connersville (Fayette County)? Please email me back and I'll try to help if you need it.
