Betsy, Ann et al, The last address I have for David Youse is david.youse@verizon.net. An easy way to get information from the Beverly Yount books is to e-mail the Morrisson-Reeves library in Richmond. The Wayne County Genealogical Society has a set also and you can e-mail one of their researchers. Both URLs can be obtained from their web sites which can be easily accessed with Google. Having walked most of the cemeteries in western Wayne County, I can recall seeing the graves of many Hoovers. Ann also mentioned the Ellabarger and Beeson families. All three were pioneers of Wayne County. The second wife of the husband of my ancestor, Mary (Myers) Elliott was Alice (Wise) Hoover. This was also a second marriage for Alice, her first husband being Silas Hoover who died in 1883 at age 34. Exum Elliott (1823-1904), the husband of these women was a prominent citizen of Wayne County and donated heavily to Earlham College in Richmond. These families all came to Wayne County early (most as early as the 1820s or sooner). The county was very sparsely populated then and these people were all closely acquainted with each other. The area around Cambridge City, East Germantown, Dublin, Mount Auburn and Milton is rich with the heritage of German-American families. Frank L. Myers
Hi! I am connected with the Hoovers of Wayne Co., IN. My line goes Catherine Hoover who married William "Uncle Billy" Williams>Henry Hoover and Elizabeth ""Liss" Fouts>Andreas Hoover or Huber and Margaret Catherine or Maria Margretta Pfautz>Gregor Jonas huber and Anna Marie Kruetzer>Johan Heinrich Huber and Maria Margaretta Hoffman>Georg Huber. I do not have record of a John Hoover and Elizabeth Mayer. I am willing to exchange the information I do have. Betseylee Browning Hi Mike, I tried sending a inquiry to David Youse on your page with the 4 volumes of Tombstone Inscriptions in Wayne Co - but it came back as undeliverable so may I please try you or could you pass me off to someone else with the knowledge of cemeteries in wayne Co. please. I am searching for the burial site of John Hoover and his wife Elizabeth Mayer Hoover. John HOOVER 1784 - 1846. His will was filled in Wayne Co. and he was a land owner. Some of his children married into the Beeson, Kolb, Lower, Daily, Ellaberger & Schopf families, many were willed land in the area. I would also be interested in a plat map going back that far. I don't know the church affliliation but there is some evidence they might have been, the old saying, "hook and eye dutch". I appreciate your time and imput and please feel free to direct me somewhere else if necessary - I have gotten some great results from Mr. Dean at the Genealogy Society. Thank you.................Ann Duder in Iowa

Seasons Greetings to all: I would like to try and get the address for the St Andrews Catholic Church in Richmond. Apparently some of my son-in-law's ancestors had births, marriages, and deaths in that particular church and would like to get further info from the church if they have it. Thanking you all in advance. Janice Connell El Paso, TX
Season's Greetings!! I would like to try and find more information on the Johann B. Heinrich (John B. Henry) Brinker family at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Richmond. Johann/John BRINKER and Mary Agnes (WEISS) were married there 7 May 1878. Our direct ancestor Frederick Ferdinand Brinker was born 1881 in Indiana but wonder if he was baptized at this Catholic church as an infant. We haven't been able to find any other siblings yet and think maybe some might be in these records also. Is there anyone who can help us with this? This is my son-in-law's family line. Thanks to you all in advance. Janice Connell--El Paso, TX Hans Brinker--Phoenix, AZ
Seasons Greetings! I would like to find out what family members are listed in the above obit and where Paul was from. I suspect he might be the brother to our direct ancestor Norman L. Brinker b. 1910 in St Louis but moved later to Indianapolis. Thanking you all in advance. Janice Connell El Paso, TX
Roy Meyer's email reminded me of my interest in the National Road Traveler. Does anyone know if this is on microfilm, or better yet, on the Internet somewhere? Can anyone tell me how far back the Richmond City Directories go, and if they're accessible (through microfilm or in book form) at the library? I'm hoping that if they go back as far as 1873, I may be able to find my g-grandfather Peter Bernd. My only hope now is searching city directories to see if he goes from being "m" to being a "w" at some point which should help me determine when and where my g-grandmother Jacobina died. Thank you, Roy in Illinois
I've searched from Illinois & Georgia to southern Florida for the final resting place of my g-grandmother Jacobina Bernd, b. 1841 and d. about 1876. The family lived in Richmond for at least a few years around the time of her death - somewhere between 1873 (when my grandmother Anna was born there) and 1880. If she's buried in Richmond she's all alone - the rest of the family lies elsewhere. Could anyone with any cemetery information see if she's listed somewhere? Thank you for your help. Roy in Illinois
