    1. [WAYMAN] Wayman...Photography during Civil War?
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: KaciHelene Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.wayman/198/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I have an old photograph of what appears to be a Confederate solider. At the bottom of the picture, it has the Wayman Photography logo, as well as C.S. (then the other letter/letters are torn off on the side). May stand for C.S.A. (Confederate States of America). I believe the picture is of an ancestor on my Goddard or Foster blood line. Fosters were mainly in Fayette/Nicholas, while Goddards were in the Greenbrier area, before moving to Fayette in the 1870's. Do any of you have Wayman ancestors who were photographers? It may help me pinpoint who the mystery ancestor in the picture is. Thank you so much! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Her first cousin, Eve Marie Gaar, was married to Aaron's brother, John Wesley Wayman, my ggg grandfather. The mother of Rosanna Gaar and the mother of Eve Gaar were sisters; the father of Rosanna Gaar and the father of Eve Gaar were brothers, which means that Rosanna and Eve were actually double first cousins. Author: KateAshby7 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.wayman/182.1.5.1.1.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I can't confirm much about Sir Myers Wayman and his marriage but I do know he had one son (Michael) and I've been told there were three daughters. The marriage in 1929 that you mention doesn't tally with the fact that Mike was in his mid or late 20s when he died in 1943 so the numbers don't add up. You could contact Kevin Brady at the Sunderland Echo who has information about the family during WWII and might be able to confirm the name of Sir Myers Wayman's wife. I have been told that a relation of mine, an Emily HARDING was married to Sir Myers WAYMAN. There is a record of a marriage between an Emily E HARDING to a WAYMAN in Q3 1929. Is there anything your side to support/ refute this? Was there any issue, if this was indeed the case? Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
