They had 10 children, but I don"t know who was the mother of who. My Grandmother Ruth (Wayman) Marple was the daughter of the son Stanley Knott Wayman.. 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: ljsljs Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.wayman/163.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: William had Jesse, as well as Emily, Nancy, Mary, Ephraim (my great great grandfather), Manassah, Mellisa, Elizabeth, Melissa and William Spencer. My records have William being born 29 Dec 1795 in Maryland. His wife Amy Bane was born in Penn. This is now 8 years after your post, surely you have the information you wanted but I'm tying up loose ends with Ephraim C Wayman and if you (or anyone else unraveling this line) are still actively working on the Waymans let's talk. William died in (West) Virginia April of 1851 but Amy and her surviving adult children moved to north central Illinois. (Extreme southern LaSalle County) Included in the move out west was Leonard Wayman, William's brother, who continued to live with Amy his sister in law. Leonard and Amy died the same year, 1875, and I have been to their graves in Rutland Cemetery near Rutland Illinois. They appear in Methodist Church records there as well. William Spencer moved on to Kansas and then to Idaho. Many of Amy B! ane's cousins moved to the same La Salle County, Illinois area as well. Manassah went to Iowa. Ephraim continued to serve as a Methodist Preacher until his death in 1894. His widow Abigail moved to Chicago and died there in 1910 but is buried next to him in Allen cemetery in Ransom, Illinois. I'm from his daughter Abbie Edna. WIlliam's father=Thomas, married a Sarah but not the Rasberry that some attach to her. She would have had more than 15 or so children by two men at the same time if it were Sarah Rasberry. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Otwell is buried in Deposit, NY, behind the Presb. church. He claims in one census that he was from Scotland. That could mean New Scotland, Scotland PA. who knows. Scots have a confusing regimen of naming there first born son after the grandfather. My Thomas was born 1820, when was yours? He had a son named Thomas. I had a DNA test on myself and dicovered I am 12% Native American....You? http://www.myheritage.com/site-family-tree-153569022/wayman# Pic of Otto. So glad I found this as it is helping in my search. So Grover would be a brother to Susie; I was able to find, among other records, the 1900 census. I also see now why I keep seeing the Tuttle surname. If I find out anything I'll let you know. I am so glad things I found do pertain to this line. I did the DNA testing at it was looking like Thomas's father was a John T. Wayman born abt 1804 in New York, but perhaps this is a brother to Isaac. Either way it is very helpful. For Thomas's wife I see her name as Hobb or Hobbs. I notice they all had many children! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Author: skipwayman Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.wayman/144.1.2.1.1.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi Becky! Yes, I've found records of Otwell and Thomas. I have an Aunt Susie according to my dad. My father's mom's name was Bessie B Tuttle. She died when he was very young. Grover Wayman, my dad's father was a severe alcoholic during the depression and my father and his brother and sisters were split up and sent to several foster homes....sigh. OK, now, I have records of Rachel (Wayman) Tuttle as Bessie's mother and George Tuttle as her father. THERE WAS A LOT OF COUSIN MARRYING IN DELAWARE COUNTY, and throughout the new world as well, so don't feel bad. Thomas' wife was Harriet A. born 1822. His father was Isaac born 1794 and his wife was Jerusla. I really have nothing back further for the Wayman's. I am interested in finding out more about the Tuttles. I think the one's in Livingston Manor, NY? http://www.myheritage.com/site-153569022/wayman Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I know the Midwest Genealogy Center in Independence, Mo., has a copy, so I'm sure other libraries that have genealogy-related materials may also have a copy (try worldcat.org). I hope this helps!
