N.H. HOON DIES SUNDAY NIGHT Was A Pioneer Resident of This Valley - Funeral Here Wednesday Afternoon. Mrs. Nancy H. Hoon, aged 79 years, a pioneer resident of this valley, died Sunday night following a brief illness with heart trouble, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Anna H. Evans, who lives about six miles northwest of the city. Mrs. Hoon had been living with another daughter, Mrs. W. F. Sheets at 702 Park Street, but several days ago left for a visit with Mrs. Evans. She had been a resident of Milton and vicinity for 27 years prior to her removal to this city several years ago, when her husband, John Hoon, retired. Mr. Hoon died here about two years ago. He was a well known pioneer. Two daughters and two sons survive. They are: Mrs. Anna H. Evans and Mrs. Blanche Sheets of this city; H. E. Hoon of this city and J. C. Hoon of Grandview. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the home of Mrs. W. F. Sheets, 702 Park Street. Interment will be in Mountain View cemetery. ***** I have pictures of her gravemarker. She and her husband are buried in the Odd Fellows section.
