She was the granddaughter of Charles H. Nye (1830-1919) and Sarah Richardson FREELAND (1824-1916). She grew up on the parent's wheat farm in Adams County and appears there in Fairview Precinct in 1920 census with her one-year old son, Walter C. GALE, living with her parents. By the 1930 census, her parents had moved to 339 Craig Street, Walla Walla, Washington. Eva Gale and three children were living with them: Walter, 11; Gweneth, 7; and Loris, 6. She worked as a saleslady in a retail department store in 1930. The husband was not living with the family in 1920 or 1930. Where was he? Military? What was his name? Where did the family go after Walla Walla? Are her children alive? Grandchildren? At some point she moved to San Diego, CA, where she died in 1992. Her SS# is 536-09-1923. Eva is my 3C2R. I would like to hear from her descendants or other researchers.
