Believe William and family moved to Walla Walla from Kentucky between 1880 and 1890. A Civil War pension card for William displays approximate date of death as Feb 18 1891 in Washington state. A Martha Miller and children with same names and ages as on 1880 KY census appear on 1900 Walla Walla census. Martha is listed as a widow. Any help locating an obit for William or burial record (he's not listed on Inerternment.net) for William much appreciated.

The story says that he donated the land where the city of Walla Walla was built. He supposidly died in 1901 and lawyers had to track down his hiers to give them their inheritence. Has any one heard of this man in connection with the land that Walla Walla is built on? And am curious if he is shown on the census for 1900 for Walla Walla County. Thank you
