Dear List, I am looking for someone who can help me decipher a very fuzzy marriage return. The bride was Catherine Ellis. Married name not maiden. I am trying to decipher what her maiden name was so I can order a birth certificate. She was born in Walla Walla around 1901/1902. Thought this would be a good place to start searching. If you email me privately, I can send you a scanned copy of what I have. All my out going mail is scanned for viruses so there is not need to worry in that reqard. Thank you in advance. Wanda

She was buried on the Lander Cut- off Trail under a pine tree in the Wyoming Range Mountains. A beautiful tribute to her is in the form of a bronze plaque placed by OCTA (Oregon California Trails Assoiation) and family members. There is also a wooden sign giving her date of death and age. I took the 5 day wagon train trip with Wagons Across Wyoming and visited her gravesite. Pictures of her gravesite (as well as myself in the maroon outfit) can be found at the following web addresses: http://www.wagonsacrosswyoming.com/#gethere http://www.wagonsacrosswyoming.com/scr-DCP_0366.jpg http://www.wagonsacrosswyoming.com/scr-DCP_0385.jpg http://www.wagonsacrosswyoming.com/scr-DCP_0401.jpg For further information on this wagon train please E-Mail me directly at: DHeik0511@yohoo.com

This is your friendly Alaskan researcher seeking either/or the burial spots for James C. Jones and/or James Walker Jones. I am doing this for a dear friend who really can't see to do any research any more. She thinks these two are buried in some service related cemetery...perhaps Masonic or IOOF. Is there some kind person that could give me a lookup with some dates? It would sure help. Mary in Juneau, Alaska The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity. I am seeking the family of James Clay Jones (born 1876) and his wife Laura Jane Walker (1882). They were married in 1902. They were in Frenchtown according to the 1920 & 1930 census. They had 3 or 4 children: Harold Gordon b 1903; Walker and Elizabeth born 1911 or 1912. Would there be any chance of some nice person checking the cemetery records to see if any of these were buried at Frenchtown? Many thanks.
