Hi everybody! We are planning a camping trip to WI this summer. I'm planning on spending the time (one week) doing research. My main areas are Oconto Co. -- Abrams; Brown Co. -- Suamico; and Waupaca Co. -- Manawa. I know that Suamico & Abrams are not that far from each other, and I have cemeteries to walk in that area, but I do want to get over to Waupaca Co., hopefully to look for local histories (Little Wolf Township particularly) that might mention my ASHLEY/ASSELINs. I'm thinking we'd be better off camping in Oconto & then I could take a day trip over to Waupaca? But if all I've got is 1 day, then I really need to target my research destinations. What do you think? So, my questions are: Would I be better off looking for a campground in Oconto or in Waupaca? How long does it take to drive between the areas? What is my best resource library in Waupaca Co.? And is there one that is particularly good for Town of Little Wolf, or Manawa? Recommendations for campgrounds are also needed! We need one that has swimming and fishing and is family-friendly, since we've got 4 kids, 11 to almost-15. What's your favorite, and why? Oh, we'll be tent camping, so an RV-only is out. We'll need to make reservations this next week, I'd think. Thanks for any help you can give! Happy Hunting!
