    3. Hi, Thanks to Rollie for his information! Just for the sake of argument though, Keshena does still exist - but it's now part of Menominee County as their county seat which was created in 1961. I visited Keshena this past summer. The entire county is Indian Reservation. And Shawano still exists - it's the county seat of Shawano County which was formed out of Oconto county in 1853 per the Handy Book -----Original Message----- From: Rollie Littlewood <rklittle@facstaff.wisc.edu> To: WauShaOcon-L@rootsweb.com <WauShaOcon-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Tuesday, February 16, 1999 10:38 PM Subject: Re: [WauShaOcon-L] 1870 Federal Census for Shawano County >At 05:03 PM 2/14/99 -0500, Kristen Eberlein ><kristeneberlein@mindspring.com> wrote: >... >>I couldn't find ANY listings for the town of Herman in either the >>first or second filming of the 1870 Federal Census.
