Rita I recently located a distant relative who had a copy of a petition of naturalization for one of the Nussbaum brothers. Just received this yesterday. It is hard to read the writing but it looks his birthplace was a town called Aesch. I, too, have found information about other branches of my family from records that the Mormons have microfilmed but there is so much from the Rheinland that you really need to narrow it down to a town, especially with a name as common as Nussbaum- now I finally have a town!.
