Hi My ggrandparents were maried 17 Feb 1863 in Newton, Manitowoc, WI, and I was told that Manitowoc was Oconto in 1863. Was I told correctly and should I be searching Oconto instead? Searching for ggrandparents (Johan) Friedrich Wilhelm Engel b. 20 Dec 1833 in GrossMethling Mecklenburg, Germany and he married Maria Schuknecht who was born 24 Nov 1839 in Mecklenburg, Germany.
