Good Monday morning to you all. I am researching the PATNODE (and variant spellings) family in WI and am seeking any information on the following family: Archie PATNOUDE, b. Mar 1864 in Canada working as a day laborer and living in Oconto, Oconto, WI in 1900 and 1920 per the censuses for those years. Married c. 1894 Louise ?, b. Feb 1875 in Canada and also living in Oconto, Oconto, WI, in 1900 and 1920 per those censuses. According to the 1900 census the parents of both Archie and Louise were born in Canada. Children of Archie and Louise were: Lucinda b. Nov 1895 in WI. Sinea (sp?) b. Sep 1897 in WI. Nelson b. Jul 1899 in WI. Samuel b. c. 1902, probably in Oconto, Oconto, WI. Irvin (possibly also Ervin) b. c. 1903, probably in Oconto, Oconto, WI. Edmond b. c. 1905, probably in Oconto, Oconto, WI. Elizabeth b. c. 1907, probably in Oconto, Oconto, WI. Lucian b. c. 1909, probably in Oconto, Oconto, WI. Vernica b. c. 1912, probably in Oconto, Oconto, WI. Melvin b. c. 1916, probably in Oconto, Oconto, WI. The above information on Lucinda, Sinea (sp?), and Nelson comes from the 1900 census. The information on the remaining children comes from the 1920 census. I am assuming these latter children were probably born in Oconto, Oconto, WI, because both the 1900 and 1920 censuses shows their parents living in that locale at those times. Any additional information would be greatly appreciate if anybody has any they would be willing to share. This surname has over a dozen variant spellings including: PATENAUDE, PATNAUDE, PATNOUDE, PATENOUDE, PATENODE, PATNODE, PATNOD, PATNOED, PATNOE, PATENOE, PATNO, PATNUDE, PATNOTE, PATNOTTE, and PEDNU. I am aware of individuals living in Oconto County at present with one or more of these spellings.
