I was talking to my grandmother tonight and she told me that her grandmother, Mathilda Gunderson was working in a creamery in Iola, Wisconsin (most likely between 1936-1946) and somehow got caught in a machine and was 'scalped' - she lived and was written up in some medical journal. She wore a wig for the rest of her life. My question is does anyone have any idea how I would go about finding this journal or book - or where would be a good place to look?
