Can someone suggest the most expedient way to handle this? After I mailed my requests for death certificates of my g-g-grandparents (Rasmussen) to the Dept. of Health & Family Services in Madison, a list member found their information somewhere under the spelling Rasmussin. Yesterday I received paperwork from the department indicating that there were no records found. They indicated that they tried various spellings (Rasmusson, Rasmussen, Rasmuson, Rasmusen) but Rasmussin was not on their list of names checked. I've waited 2 months for this information to arrive and I'm wondering if a telephone call will suffice or must I begin the paperwork process again. Does anyone have any suggestions? Many thanks...
