Tom, Go to the address below for an explaination of the Naturalization process (years ago) and there is an image of two actual examples (my ancestors from the mid 1800's). Hope this helps, Rita http://www.rootsweb.com/~wioconto/what.htm#TYPES OF DOCUMENTS I have a few questions regarding the naturalization papers that have been brought up on the list a few times lately. I've been at this for a short time and I have heard that these can be very valuable but I know very little about them. What kind of information can be obtained from these? Secondly, what information do I need to be able to find these? Thirdly, was this something required by all immigrants? I think I recall it being said that possibly just the Male head of household had to do this? Lastly, would any be willing to volunteer to do a few look ups for me at the Shawano FHC if I can get them all the information they need? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Tom Evans ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
