Chris, I have some very old photos of Stiles, including the church (being built and once it was standing), rectory, cheese factory, "downtown" main street (all mud and sand), and the cheese factory. A great uncle's wife was named originally named Barbara Weber and the family apparently owned the cheese factory in the late 1800's. The only sibling left of Barbara has advanced Alzheimer's and is not able to help with identification. I have many related family photos and photo-postcards of the time, and I think they are of this Weber family. They were abandoned once Barbara died in childbirth at age 41 in the late 1930's. There is one couple pictured who was first photographed around the time of the American Civil War, and successive photos of them over the next approximately 50 years. I can only guess that they were the Weber pioneers. It is such a shame to have these priceless pieces of someone's family history, and not know who might charish them. There were many sons in the family portrates, both casual and professional. Some have first names, and the Weber name is occasionally mentioned, but most have no identification. Any help from you or other folk's? Hope to hear from someone, Rita
