Rita I recently located a distant relative who had a copy of a petition of naturalization for one of the Nussbaum brothers. Just received this yesterday. It is hard to read the writing but it looks his birthplace was a town called Aesch. I, too, have found information about other branches of my family from records that the Mormons have microfilmed but there is so much from the Rheinland that you really need to narrow it down to a town, especially with a name as common as Nussbaum- now I finally have a town!. I will be going out of town next week, so further research will wait until after holidays. Mary >> The Nussbaum family came to US in 1855 and settled on a farm in >> Outagamie County. Please note that I have established the Couillard Family of Maine Genealogical Club at the following web site: http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/couillardfamilyofmaine?as Most if not all of Couillard family members in Oconto County are descended from John Couillard of Georgetown, ME. I have been doing research on this family for some 20 years now and have over 2000 names, 200 obits, etc. in my data base. I anticipate having the first three generations on a web site soon. Once I have it established, I will post that information here as well. Roger N. Whiting 1313 Superior St. Chippewa Falls, WI 54729-1881 (715) 726-1970

Hi everybody! Just an update: Terri and I found out that we're 4th cousins! We're working out the details now. See? These lists really do help! ;-) Just a thought, what about having a Roll Call? *** *Warning!* Don't start one without the listowner's permission! *** I'm sure we've had many new people sign onto this list and maybe it's time to re-express our research interests? What do you think, Denise? Happy Hunting! Greetings to all you Shawanese (from a Mukiltean)! I just came across the listing shown below for a manuscript document. Because my great-grandmother's last name is Dallman, I'm curious to learn who the school is named after. My Dallman/Dahlman family is from Prussia and is Polish-speaking. They lived in the Portage & Marathon county area. I know their were also some German/German-speaking Dallman families in Wisconsin about the same time. Can anyone on this list help me? Here's the reference: ---------------- Author: School District No. 2, Town of Waukechon (Shawano County, Wis.) Title: Dallman School district record, 1919-1950. Description: 0.2 c.f. Terri, I think we might be cousins! I think your Henry Bezrille may be the man I know (in my database) as Henry BOZILE, s/o Peter BOZILE & Maria BRULEY. In fact, I think I have that marriage record around here somewhere.... If you have Henry & Lucy's marriage record, check his parent's names. BEZRILLE is a known variation of BOZILE. (They can't get that name right for anything!) Right now, I have to run to my son's basketball game, but this evening I'll go thru my files & see what I've got. Sorry, I don't have anything on Julius Cady. Happy Hunting! Ladies & Gentlemen, Please welcome Oconto Co's new Coordinator, Rita Neustifter. <blare of trumpets> Rita has been invaluable to me during my term as CC. I am doing research on the Aschenbrenner (Ashenbrenner or Asenbrenner) and Kutil families. Mostly from Shawno and Leopolis areas. And Cady and Berzill (Brazil) families mostly from Waupaca areas. I would appreciate any help, as I live in California. Or if anyone can give me addresses or phone numbers for any of these families, I would appreciate it. Thanks Terri
