Thanks in advance Penny Waugh "Will be visiting Cumberland 3-4 October 2005 to see and take photos of places where my husband's GG Grandfather and family lived. William WAUGH born circa 1802 in Kirklinton - died 1883 in Plumbland. Possibly had a brother Robert or James. He married Sarah Fox (born in Plumbland) in Carlisle - possibly 1853 -54. Their children all born Cumberland: Thomas b 1859 in Ellenborough married Margaret Southwood ROBINSON Joseph b 1861 in Bromfield (Abbey Holme) - married Mary Ellen TODHUNTER Andrew b 1867 in Aspatria - married Eliza Jane MONTGOMERY Henry b 1873 in Gilcrux Sarah, Thomas, Joseph and Andrew all emmigrated to Australia at various times after 1886 - no information on Henry. Also possible that William and Sarah had a daughter Elizabeth. Would be interested in meeting up with any one researching these people and grateful for any suggestions on research centres to visit.
