I have just begun my research into the Waugh line of my family. My connection is this: Jane (Jennie) Carothers m. Samuel Clark, Washington Co. PA/ c. 1800 (They both lived in Washington County but may have married in Columbiana/Jefferson Co. OH, where at least some of their children were born.) Jennie is the daughter of Samuel Car(r)others and Mary Waugh. I have found some sources that suggest that John Waugh and Martha Rankin, Cumberland Co., are the parents of Mary. I have also found sources that do not list her among their children but do have a Polly. Can anyone shed some light on this and help me with John's ancestors? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
