My Waughs are also from Guyan ,Gallia ,Ohio G- grandfather was .John H. Waugh married to Effie Collins ,also of Gallia .Cannot connect to the other families in Gallia . John's father William Waugh died in the Civil War 1865. He was married to a Abigail Woodridge or Wood . She later married Thomas Lavender of Guyan ,Gallia ,Ohio .1860 Census of Gallia has Williamand Abigail living with the John Chapman family who he later went to war with two of the brothers . Census says William was born in Indiana .1832. His pension states he was born in 1832 also . The only William Waugh in Indiana I could find was born in 1838 .Son of Jacob Waugh of Ky .^ years off on birthdates . I do know these dates do vary . Jacob later moved to Illinois in 1850 He has one census in Aug of 1850 in Indiana and then Dec. census in 1850 he had moved to Illinois . Jacob's daughter and first born,Minerva ,was born in Ohio . Still cannot connect . My paternal grandmother,Daisy Waugh , did not remember her parents for they were suppose to have died between 1893 and 1899 on a trip on a Riverboat down the Ohio River .daisy's brother was Edward C.Waugh of Gallia and Rosa Eds who later moved to WV. I did find there graves on a hill on the old Foster farm off Hwy 218 in Crown city ,also buried there are Abagial and ,Quinn Waugh , Minnnie Waugh ,John and Effie John's sister Nancy had married a Foster .
