Sickle, born 1805 in New York State. Came to Ontario, Canada approximately 1836 with wife-Laura Brown and 3 children. Moved to Brant Co., Ontario, Canada then later to Beverly Twp, Wentworth Co., area in Ontario. Here is some info I have: Benony Vansickle b-1806 Canada West, Ontario, Canada Married a Margaret? abt 1837,b-abt 1808 in Canada West Children- Rinear Vansickle b-first born Benony Jr. b-abt 1838 Henry b-abt 1842 Nathan b-abt 1843 Margaret b-abt 1846 Dorothea b-abt 1848 Thomas b-1851 This info was found in the "Pioneers of Beverly" (Beverly Twp., Wentworth Co., Ontario, Canada. Benony can also be found in the 1861 Census as my records state. Would have to double check this). They were located in the Lynden Area, Beverly Twp., ON, Canada. A Benony bought land in 1790 and was mentioned as "the late Benony" in the book. So I would say his son Benony continued to own lots of land and his 2 sons are mentioned. A John and can't remember name off hand of other son. Hope this helps some. If you also happen to have any info regarding my Isaac P. Sickles b-1805 in New York State I would surely love to hear from you. I.m stuck on him. He is my Gr3 Grandfather. Can't seem to match him with his parents, etc. Have tried to match him with the Oneida Indians in this area-Oneida Reserve in London, Middlesex Co., ON, Candada. There is also the Six Nations Reserve near hear-Brant Co., Ontario, Canada. Can't find no match. My Isaac Sickles is to be related to Major General Daniel Sickles, can't seem to track the connection down either. Any help would be greatly appreciated/ Thankyou Christine Shea-Ghesquire

In Randolph County there are WAUGH's at www.pioneerindex.com/surnames.html Impressed with this work, out of print, often unpublished data's been indexed with the full inf and the sources too, seems to be well done. They are both buried in the Mt. Hope Cemetary in Maquoketa, Iowa. Isaac's parents were William Waugh and Elizabeth Ellis. It is believed in our family that Isaac came from Scotland and was a coast guard along the coast of Ireland. Tamazine was born on the island of Valencia (?spelling) off the coast of Ireland. They were married in County of Cork in Ireland. I am writing this from my granddaughter's home and more of my specific information is at home. They did sail to Canada with several children and then came down and settled in Mercer County, Pennsylvania where my grandfather was born in 1833. They later moved to Iowa and lived in Maquoketa after my grandparents had settled there. I have much more information in my home including a lettter from Tamazine to my grandfather Edward Fletcher Waugh at the time of his wedding to my grandmother Lydia Patience Smith in about 18! 60. I do not have any specific information regarding specific ships, departures or arrivals of their travel/move to North America.
