I've "rescued" an old photograph of two young children which indicates on the back that they likely belong to S. S. HOWARD of Roaring Branch, Pennsylvania. The photograph was likely taken in the early 1900's with the children appearing to be about 4 - 6 years old at the time, the youngest a girl and the oldest a boy. In addition someone has written order information on the back of the photograph. Thanks to the help of a HOWARD Family researcher I know that these are likely the children of Schuyler HOWARD and his wife Jennie LAWRENCE. Schuyler HOWARD was the son of Charles Henry HOWARD and Frances Katherine SELLAR, and the Grandson of John W. HOWARD and Susanna BASTIAN. Lawrence HOWARD was b. 3 October 1898 and Zelma HOWARD b. 7 July 1901. Lawrence HOWARD married Ruth Elizabeth WAUGH and together they had one son, Larry HOWARD. Zelma HOWARD died very young in 1907 and is said to have been buried in the Roaring Branch Cemetery. I'm hoping to locate someone from this family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to the care of family.
