    3. The Watts reunion below sounds like a genealogists' dream come true -- how could you beat 8 generations of family history combined with a 600 ft food table?!! Does anyone recognize any of these Watts? chp ************************************************ WATTS REUNION: Pageland Journal 22July 1925 [Chesterfield Co, SC] The Watts Reunion was held at Taylorsville, NC, Sunday. Messrs G H Watts, Drue Byrd, Jasper Watts, Lonnie Blakeney, and SW Watts were the Pageland representatives. They report this reunion as one of the best they ever attended. They report fine preaching and good speeches. A record of the Watts Family to the 8th generation was read and explained, the speaker declaring that there was no Monkey Blood in any of them, just a real Watts family. There wee representatives from South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Virginia, Texas, Arkansas, and probably some other states. All of the Watts name were asked to raise hands and it was estimated that twenty-five hundred (2500) hands went up. A bountiful dinner was spread and all did justice to it. The reunion was held at an old home place of the Watts Family, now in a pasture. A large flag flew from the house, and a table six hundred (600) feet long was loaded with good things to eat.
